Select RAX files (Rhapsody files) for conversion using the "Select Files" button in DRM Converter's main window toolbar (you can use Ctrl or Shift to select two or more files) or using drag&drop (for example from the Windows Explorer). Also you can drag&drop a folder with files or a folder structure. You will see all selected RAX files (Rhapsody files) in the DRM Converter's main window. To delete a RAX file (Rhapsody file) from this list, select it and click on the "Delete" button in DRM Converter's main window toolbar. Once the RAX files (Rhapsody files) are present in your list, click the "Convert" button to convert RAX to M4A (convert Rhapsody to M4A).
Since MPEG-4 is a container format, MP4 files may contain any number of audio, video, and even subtitle streams, making it impossible to determine the type of streams in an MP4 file based on its filename extension alone. In response, Apple Inc. started using and popularizing the M4A file extension using for audio-only MP4 files.
Rhapsody is an online music service run by RealNetworks. Downloaded files come with restrictions on their use, enforced by Helix, RealNetworks' version of Digital Rights Management (DRM). Rhapsody exists as two different services with different featuresets, the Rhapsody.com streaming service and the Rhapsody Jukebox player. Rhapsody.com is a web, streaming-only version of Rhapsody that is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux and Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari web browsers. It is installed through a browser plugin. Tracks are not purchaseable through Rhapsody.com, nor are PlaysForSure transfers possible. The Jukebox software contains all the features of the web-based version, but also some other additional features.
